Our Safety Measures

Patient safety is our number one goal. At our practice, all of our team are trained in advance hygiene etiquette, referred to in medicine as Universal Precautions. This approach to infection control includes regularly cleaning and disinfection of often touched objects and surfaces in between each patient's appointment.

COVID-19 is in the news everywhere, and we are closely monitoring the situation. We're reaching out to assure you that you are safe at David Crumpton, DDS.

We already, as a daily practice, assure universal precautions as outlined by CDC and OSHA standards of infection control. Safety is always our number one focus. Our high standard of care ensures that your trust and safety are never compromised.

We are taking extended measures to further protect all our patients and team with the following additional protocols:
•  The office has adjusted the schedule to ensure patient flow so that patients are spaced out and will be less likely to cross with other patients during their appointments. Keep in mind there are fewer appointment available with this change. So be sure and get in as soon as possible there are limited spaces available for both hygiene and doctor appointments and we want everyone to get appointment and use their benefits before the end of the year.
•  Prior to your scheduled appointment you will receive a Covid-19 Consent verifying that all patients are safe to come into their dental office.
•  In compliance with the recommendations for public health, anyone with a cough or fever will not be allowed in the building and should stay home. We will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date.
•  We have 2 Medical Grade HIPPA Purification Filters running in the office that remove 99.9% of all particles in the air.
•  All Patients are required to wear a mask when they enter the building and prior to entering their operatory.
•  Before your appointment, you have the option to stay in your car instead of the waiting room until we're ready to seat you in your personal operatory. Simply call us when you arrive, and we will let you know when we're ready for you.
•  Upon entering David Crumpton, DDS, you will be asked to sanitize your hands
•  At the beginning of every appointment, you will be asked to pre-rinse with OraCare. OraCare Mouth Rinse has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. This treatment has been proven to remove the COVID-19 virus in the mouth for an extended period of time.
•  Additionally, we are requesting you sanitize your hands before re-entering the business areas
•  We have added Isolight suction for better suction during dental procedures.

You can be assured safety measures at David Crumpton, DDS will continue to evolve as more information develops. We have included a short video about some of our health and safety procedures at the bottom of this email.

Also, we have included a really important article about the why it is more important than ever to go ahead and get in to see us as soon as you can due to the bacteria in your mouth. Gum Disease Study Article.

Stay well, hydrate, eat nutritiously, and get plenty of sleep.

We look forward to serving you,

The team at David Crumpton, DDS
